Your file stays with you
- The work is done by code running in this browser tab, not on a server.
- We never receive, store or see your file, so there is nothing to leak or delete.
- No account and no sign-up are needed for the free tools.
- Once the page has loaded, the tool keeps working even if you go offline.
Many PDF websites upload your document to their servers to process it. This one doesn’t.
Questions
What if the fold is not in the middle?
Move the cut line with the slider; the preview shows where each page will be cut.
Is Split pages in half really free?
Yes. There is no limit on files and no watermark. The only paid part of the site is optional online storage.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser, and the page’s security policy stops it from sending data to any other website. You can check this in your browser’s developer tools: no file is sent while you use it.
Is there a file size limit?
Only your device’s memory. Most phones handle files of a few hundred pages; computers handle much more.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, it works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS and Linux.
